Burgas is a town in eastern Bulgaria, centre of Burgas Municipality, as well as the biggest (7748 sq. km.) province in Bulgaria. It is the biggest city and an important economic, cultural, administrative centre on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast. It is the hometown of many famous Bulgarian poets, composers, singers, actors, directors, artists, photographers and sportists. The town has a number of parks and recreational areas. Here is located the second busiest airport in the country after the Sofia airport. The port of Burgas has the highest cargo turnover in the country.
During the summer the town is visited by Bulgarian and foreign tourists. The climate is favorable for rehabilitation – mild winter and warm sunny summer.
The region of the contemporary town of Burgas, between three lakes and the Black Sea was once called “Crossroad of the most ancient civilizations”. The first residents of the region were the Thracans. Around 6 centuries B.C. The Hellenes from Apolonia settle the lands and found a colony under the name of Pyrgos, chasing the Thracians further up country. Pyrgos (as Ionian police) has been in a military and commercial rivalry with the other big Greek police Mesemvria (nowadays town of Nessebar).
Burgas has three times (in 2010, 2012 and 2013) won the title “Best city for living in Bulgaria”. It gained the maximum score points in the areas: foreign investments, unemployment, stray dogs, free wi-fi in public areas, number of 24/7 pharmacies, main pedestrian street, shops’ working time, closeness of resorts.
Near our house are located the cathedral Sts Cyril and Methodius, The Summer Theatre, The Pier of Burgas, public transport, railway station, bus station, hotels, shopping centres, university and many cafes and bars. The pedestrian status of the boulevard and the distance to big transportation arteries guarantee lack of noise and pollution.
The quick development of Burgas, the increased foreign investments and tourists are a certain prerequisite for a steady growth in the real estate prices in the region. Such a central location will become more and more emblematic for the southern Black Sea coast.
All of the above makes the purchase of the property a smart, durable in the time, investment.
